The Rann of Kutch is a saline desert. During Monsoon, the Rann (Gujarati for Desert) gets flooded for a period of about one month and is dotted with about 74 elevated plateaus or island, locally called ‘bets’ these bets are covered with grass and feed the population of around 2100 animals.
The wildlife sanctuary was established in 1972 and is habitat to many species of animals and birds.
Itinerary

- Desert Safari in an open jeep. You’ll be able to observe the beautiful wildlife including migrated birds such as pelican, crane and flamingo and animals such as wild ass and wolf. We’ll also visit a salt factory to understand how salt is made.

Important Instruction
- Sports/trekking shoes are mandatory for trekking. Please make sure you bring along a pair of sports/trekking shoes.
- Kindly wear full-sleeved t-shirts and pants during trekking. Shorts and half-sleeves clothes are not allowed.
- Bring along at least 1 litre of water-bottle per head.
- The price quoted above is per person and includes all the services mentioned above. The same quote per person is charged for additional members.
