The campsite is located near a small village called Bakor in Mahisagar district in north Gujarat. It is about 140 KM from Ahmedabad and can be reached by road via Modasa and Malpur or from Godhra via Lunawada. At the foothills of the Aravali hills and the forests consist of stunted teak, Mauve trees and diverse other scrubs. Bakor is also a great birding habitat and home to wildlife such as hyena, jackals and mongoose.
